Hustlers

Based on a true story (or at least the New York Magazine article that went viral), JLo is Ramona Vega, a veteran stripper in Brooklyn. After the big stock market crash, it seems life is unfair and only rewards those that break the rules, so she and her stripper friends decide to turn the tables on the Wall Street sharks, and unload them of some of that money they stole from everyday hardworking people.

The plan seems simple: give ‘em the time of their lives, drug ‘em and rob ‘em. Who’s going to be able to prove they only spent four grand on a wild night with strippers instead of five? If they even remember… But what starts small and low risk rapidly starts spiralling out of control. After swindling bankers out of millions, their futures all seem to be looking down the barrels of guns or jail time…

In her best film for decades, Lopez lights up the screen with a strong supporting cast of Constance Wu (Fresh off the Boat), Julia Stiles (the Bourne trilogy), Lili Pauline Reinhart (Riverdale), music stars Lizzo, Keke Palmer, and Cardi B, stripper-turned-rapper in her film debut.
