Minutes of the DM meeting held on 17 February 2009

1. Welcome and apologies
James welcomed everyone to his first DM meeting as Chief DM 2009-10, and thanked Matt Pusey for keeping the chair warm for the past year.
There were no apologies for absence.
2. Rotas
The Week 8 shows apart from Sunday early, Sunday late and Friday late are covered.
3. AllNighter
An email asking for help on the stall will be sent to DM, Proj. and Exec listings.
The stall will be by the pool tables in the Union on Thursday, and in the area formerly known as Rococo on Friday.
The availability of DMs to cover the stall was recorded.
DMs were encouraged to sign up for the films they would watch from the balcony.
4. Feedback from IT Team gathering
It was noted that it would be quite easy to add a refund function to the EPOS system.
It may be decided that this should happen at the IT Team gathering to be held on 18 February.
There is excitement about the new website. It will "cost billions".
5. AOB
- Stewards giving their guest ticket away should be monitored that they are doing so in a sensible manner.
- The new Chief DM has made no progress towards the objectives left by the old Chief DM (such as "spikes of death", recruiting legions of stewards, and card tickets).
- Andrew reminded DMs to open the doors at least fifteen minutes before the start time, particularly this week for elections slides.
- Orders for food at the AllNighter must be submitted by the end of the first film.
The meeting was adjourned at 6.40 pm.
