Minutes of the DM meeting held on 16 June 2009

Present: James McLachlan, Rachel Crofts (late), Matthew Gardner, Robert Gardner (late), George Marshall, Matthew Pusey, Pierre Schramm
In attendance: Andrew Maddison (projectionist)
1. Welcome and apologies for absence
James welcomed those present to the final meeting of the academic year. James also welcomed Matt Pusey to the final academic meeting of the year.
Apologies were received from Gaby Aptula, Mike Joy, Owen Rye and Natalie Tyldesley.
2. Qualification
James reported that Gaby qualified at Vicky Cristina Barcelona on Sunday.
3. DM cupboard key
James reported that the key had been lost during Sunday's show.
It was decided that the Treasurer's copy of the key would be moved to the corridor keybox temporarily.
4. Publicity run
James reminded those present that there would be a publicity run on Wednesday 17 June, starting at 2.00 pm in L3, to promote the outdoor screening.
5. Outdoor screening
It was decided that Front of House staff would meet on Rootes field at 11.00 am in order to fetch barriers from University House.
Mat Gardner said that he would order pizza for staff at about 6.00 pm.
Andrew showed that the transfer of WSC logo to high-visibility vest was successful. He said that there would be four or five vests available with the logo.
Rachel said that she could potentially obtain enough high-visibility vests for all those who were staffing the outdoor screening.
6. Date of next meeting
James announced that the next DM meeting would be held on Tuesday 6 October 2009.
James thanked Matt Pusey for his contributions to the society over the past four years.
7. AOB
- George reported that the power to the sockets on the Science Concourse had been restored.
- The intricacies of the DM cupboard were discussed.
- James was thanked for buying drinks.
The meeting was adjourned at 6.36 pm.
