Minutes of the DM meeting held on 13 October 2009

Present: James McLachlan, Gaby Aptula, Matthew Gardner, Robert Gardner, George Marshall, Owen Rye, Natalie Tyldesley
1. Welcome and apologies for absence
James welcomed those present to the second meeting of term.
Apologies were received from Mike Joy and Pierre Schramm.
2. Rotas
The late showing of Fast and Furious remained free.
3. EPOS systems
James reported that the problems with the WSC EPOS system had been fixed but that there was a discrepancy in the price of Erasmus Societies Federation membership: it is listed as £8 on the Union website ("only purchasable in person at Union North Reception") but can be sold for £6 through the Union EPOS system. James said he would have the situation clarified at SUHQ Reception on Wednesday.
4. New stewards and DMs
James reported that there were approximately 25 members interested in stewarding, excluding those who had already signed up to shows, with a similar number of potential stewards yet to join the society.
It was agreed to take on up to seven trainee DMs.
5. Date of next meeting
James announced that meetings would continue to be held on Tuesdays this term.
6. AOB
- George requested that the Chief DM send an email to Richard Winskill to ask why he had not sent apologies and whether he would be attending the AllNighter.
- Owen warned that Achiller might explode.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:34 pm.
