Projectionists Meeting @ 2006-10-09 18:00:00
Present: Rachel, Tom, Martin, Rob, Aiden, James C, Maria, James M, Ian, Greg, Matt, Amanda, Andrew, Claire, Tim.

Rotas: Rotas are now filled for the coming week, with the exception of the Sunday early show. Any volunteers would be good.
Training: There was some discussion about how to start the new trainees. Rachel suggested adding them slowly, but this will lead to problems with qualifying at the end of term, as well as people losing interest. Maria suggested that we give people their initial training sessions in pairs. This was largely met with approval, as it will allow trainees to get to know one another, and not be so time consuming. Maria, Aiden, Tim, Claire, Rob and Martin all said they should around to help out with training sessions this coming weekend and the following Wednesday. (Adam later agreed to do ‘lots and lots and lots’ of training)
The meeting briefly descended into chit chat, where once again the issue of painful filmsoc clothing was raised. It was suggested that we get special bras to prevent chafing, to which Aiden replied ‘hell, yeah’.
Open Sessions: It was agreed that the proj box would be opened for a quick look around during the evenings general meeting, Rachel had her usual moan about the proj box being a mess. It was also agreed that we should have a big Open Session some time in the middle of term for any interested people, or trainees on the waiting list to have a poke around, play with the equipment etc. There were no concrete ideas about what would be done during the open session, although Greg decided it would be just like a jamming session, and we should just relax and ‘feel the vibes, man’.
