IT Meeting Minutes 25th January 2010
Meeting Start: 19:00
1) Welcome and Apologies
Present: Ben, Tim, Ed, Chris, Matt, Adam(19:33)
Apologies: Bernard, Andy, Martin, Rachel
2) Associate Membership
•Need to remove button or change
•SU requires a letter to join the society
•Only need to avoid associate memberships
•If a non socs fed customer comes to a show, but have joined another society by written approval, we still needs the president’s approval – blanket yes to all?
•Remove yellow box for now
•Check specific type
•Ignore and sell at £3 ticket – check to see what the deal is and then sort the problem
3) Tills
•Plug into master socket in wall 1/3 of time doesn’t find a IP address
•Wi-fi enabled – need to be disabled or select not
•Master till – need to be logged in as WSC Admin due to an error message – (msconfig) – monitoring
•Also an issue with the card reader – needs restarting – no IT personnel have seen this problem as of yet
•Run a network cable of our own - Andy
4) Touch screen
•Not ready yet but close
4.1) EPOS Interface
•Long time to new EPOS – however a quick re-design for the current EPOS, possibly adding in refunds to allow us to test the touch screen before the new EPOS is coded.
•Copy of EPOS needs to be made and access for Ed
5) Slideshow computer
•Hardware accelerator stopped – Adam and Andy fixing problem still ongoing
5.1) Dynamic Slides
•Possible but low priority
•In the mean time the publicity team could do it on a day to day basis
•Have the images in a separate file and these could update daily
6) Five Film Pass & Publicity Rewards
•Tim is going to show Ed how to do this, and hopefully get Ed to write a script to do this automatically
7) Dump
•Send an email requesting help!
•Tim and Andy to arrange a time when they are free, volunteers to help out
8) Snow
•Now gone
•New website – automatic themes and snow
9) Website Progress
•Matt has re-designed the website
•“Members” icon changed to “Crew”
•Tills homepage default could go straight to EPOS – need sign-in on this page
•Keep homepage from the previous design
•Matt – superclass
•Ed - EPOS
10) AOB
•Wall lighting to do a green light show for the matrix – All Nighter
•Week 8-Vampire week red lighting
