IT Meeting Minutes 11th February 2010
Meeting Start: 19:05
1) Welcome and Apologies
Present: Ben, Tim, Chris, Andy, Adam, Matt (arrived late 19:07), Vicky
Apologies: Martin, Rachel, Ed
2) Health and Safety
•Don’t touch anything
•Platter has mains electricity through central core
•Inform people when or if you have removed floor tiles for under floor access
•Do not use the solvents
•6 emergency stop buttons, locations mentioned in meeting however these do NOT cut power to IT equipment
•During films
oGet permission from the Q Proj. to enter
oNo more than 5 people in the Proj. Box at one time
3) New Exec Members
•Everyone was aware of the new exec members
4) New Website Design
•Can’t read “Warwick Student Cinema” if left around the edge of the logo
•Sketch shown to team from Owen (current publicity officer)
•Why have the website film related
oPeople think we show DVD’s
oTherefore we need to show film related images
•Suggestion of film sprockets on advertised films
•Hovering over the image will stops the slideshow advert
oIf not it rotates every 5 seconds
5) Superclass
•Possibly done by the weekend
6) AOB
•Something under the floor is “ill” possibly deluxe, sounds like a cooling fan or the integral workings of a HDD
•Deluxe is low on RAM – additional RAM is required if not, something more serious is required – no task seems to be holding memory
•DUMP – need clearing
•Buy a USB to PS2 converter – possibly one under the floor
•Name suggestions for new login server?
