Trainee DM present: Nick March

Nick requested that he be included in the apologies for last week's meeting. James will amend the minutes of last week's meeting accordingly.
2. Rotas
Most shows in Week 5 do not yet have DMs. Please sign up if you can DM a show.
3. Data protection
George raised his concerns about stewards and DMs, particularly those who are on the exec, leaving themselves logged in to the filmsoc website on the Front of House laptops, which gives other users access to personal accounts and members' data. This is a serious issue and so the DM must ensure that everyone logs out when the tills are closed. Tim said that the IT Team will look into implementing an automatic logout feature on the website.
4. Socials
There will be a Front of House social on Saturday, 28 October to see the 4:00 pm screening of Saw III at the Odeon in Coventry. All are welcome, and afterwards we'll be dining at Old Orleans.
The consensus for the society's social on Monday, Week 6 is to go for curry in Earlsdon.
5. AOB
(i) During the 9:30 pm showing of Ice Age 2, four members of the audience on the back row of L3 were so disruptive that the projectionist, Ian, had to tell them to stop misbehaving. The main problem was that they were intentionally holding their mobiles in front of the projector. Whilst this kind of behaviour is rare, it is not unusual for silhouettes to blight the screen during a film. On Monday's projection meeting it was suggested that we reserve the back row of L3 at the start of every show. The DMs unanimously agreed with this proposal and it will come into effect at Indiana Jones. During busy shows, the DM should use his or her judgement as to when to open the back row to the audience.
(ii) There really needs to be a campaign for the return of pork scratchings to The Graduate.
