Minutes of the DM Meeting held on Wednesday 12th January 2010 at 6:10pm
Location: 'The Bar', Rootes Social Building

Present: Robert Gardner, Fergus Cooper, George Marshall, Edward McCutcheon, James McLachlan and Owen Rye.
In Attendance: Andrew Maddison.

1. Welcome and Apologies
Rob welcomed all those present to the first DM Meeting of the Term and 2011.
Apologies for absence were received from: Mike Joy & Natalie Tyldesley.

2. Rotas
The rotas for weeks 1, 2 and 3 were passed around with all qualified slots being filled. Several trainee slots remain available, particularly in Week 3.

3. Child Tickets
A request has been sent to Exec asking about child attendance. From this, it was proposed to discuss at DM the merits of Child Tickets, and proposed age ranges for these to be applicable.
The DM Committee's points of note and recommendations for the Exec were:
All recollections for previous child attendance were for children up to 7 or 8 years old.
Certain scenarios, such as sell-outs, should result in students being given preference over children.
For young children, a maximum of two per adult, but up to four if they are older and seem well behaved - common sense required by DM on this front.
Proposal for ticket/age brackets: Free for up to five years old. Six to eleven year-olds to get Child rate. Twelve and over to attend as External Guests.

4. Start of Term Issues
The only issue that had arisen to this point was that of the lack of availability of water in the exec office and toilet, as a result of the burst pipe.

5. AOB
Fridges should be set at about level 4. Please do not set them at level 7 - this results in things freezing!!!
Everyone needs to vote for 'A Serbian Film' in the Summer Term Suggestions Pages.
A proposal was made to organise a Front of House social - Rob to liaise with Sophie as to what she's planning on doing and in which weeks.
"The General was awesome" (Tuesday Week 1).
Forums - Ed will work with some of the new trainee DMs to ensure that the forum sign-ups work!
