Meeting to be held in SSL but moved to L3 as Rootes Building closed.

2) Show Reports:
Tuesday: Did you hear about the Morgans?

Fergus forgot to hit PC sound at the beginning of KPMG so missed a
couple of seconds of sound (hopefully he's learnt by now). There was an
earlyish changeover (4-5 I think) so missed a couple of words.
Wednesday: The Box

Ads were 2 sprocket oor, R1 a bit oor, turned out both were because of not pulling film up through the gate. Flash of white at end of credits downed a little late.
Thursday: Daybreakers
Q=Rob G. T=Fergus C.
Quite a bit of instability at start of reel 1 during S+V. Tightened gate and everything was fine thereafter.
Friday: Paranormal Activity
Early. Q=Nikita S. T=Owen R.
The platter tripped during ads due to that one roller that can be turned
around being twisted the wrong way. Then it decided to be a little bitch
again and trip near the end of the last trailer, no idea why. Went to
start up the film and the projector wouldn't select...turns out Owen kept
hitting P1 instead of P2, got it right eventually, probably after about
15-20s. Then apparently there was near the start of the first reel, a
noise heard outside which sounded like music or something, on top of the
regular soundtrack, no idea what that was :S C/O 4-5 was out of rack by
about 2 sprockets, corrected immediately.

All good except for R5 being half a frame oor.
Saturday: Shaun of the Dead

Went funky-dory-esquely :-)
Sunday: An Education
Early. Q=Rob G. T=Ed M.
Noticed before starting up that slides had frozen on the tech specs slide, so when KPMG didn't work, we partially expected it, so went straight into ads/trailers. Slight instability at start of ads/trailers. Noticed slight blip at top of screen in R2 (P1), cleaned lenses and aperture plate in R3 (P2) - removed problem. At end of film, trainee didn't down quickly enough, but did mute, so had a little flash of white on screen.

R1 very slightly OOR. R2 started out of focus.
R3 1 sprocket OOR, corrected immediately.
Otherwise fine.
3) eMaking up and PC on the bench
computer on the bench is not workable.
The system required to make this idea work is not practical at the moment.
Possible Compromise - an electronic film record that keeps check of:
when film arrives
where the film is
if the film is made up
when film goes
this compromise is to be investigated further.
4) New Trainees
Not practical at the moment
Current trainees to be motivated to get qualified as soon as possible!!
5) Complaint received
Official paperwork was defaced. This is unacceptable and should it happen again then steps will be taken against the culprit.
