Show Reports:
Tuesday: Antichrist
QProj = T. Bradley
Platter tripped during coming soon logo. Put lights down during that. Nothing else to report I think.

Wednesday: The Godfather
Qproj = Matt Breeze, Tproj = Tim Kaufmann
Nothing to report.

Thursday: Law Abiding Citizen
Proj: Rob, Trainee: Peter
Trainee pressed P3 more than once so KPMG didn't come up. Slide show continued as if nothing had happened, so tried again to start up KPMG, but nothing, so went straight into ads and trailers from here. During one ad, accidentally pressed DTS button, so a couple of seconds of silence. C/O 1->2, first cue dot missed by ~3 secs. I downed and tried to mute, but since was in SDDS, it beeped when signal lost :-( Reel 2 (on P1) was pulling v tightly on SDDS unit near end of reel, so decided to play remainder of film in SRD with SRD lacing only. Some audience muppet turned lights onto full half way through credits - this was corrected immediately.

Friday: The Informant (Early)
QProj = Niks, Trainee: Owen
Pearl and Dean started slightly OOR. Lights were turned down early from ads to trailers. Stability issues on both projectors throughout the film. Other than that, pretty much Mary Poppins.

Friday: The Informant (Late)
Qproj: Alex Ware.
No problems from the platter. Forgot aperture, dowsed and inserted. 3s black. The bottom loop grew massive on reel 3, so I dowsed, shut down and relaced the lower half of p2. Less than 10s of black. (I honestly have no idea how this happened, the only thing I can think of is that I was a muppet and didn't properly check my lacing- but I'm pretty sure I did) Played whole film in DTS, no sound problems. Everything else fine.

Sunday: Sherlock Holmes (Early)
Qproj = Tim Bradley, TProj = Ed McCutheon
R2,4,7 Oor, corrected quickly. Tim checked the film after with (bollocks) racking tape, (falsely) showed the film to be 1 sprocket out of rack so removed one sprocket, which then actually caused the film to be 1 sprocket oor. A mix up between the hard masking of Xwide and Scope was the root of the problem. Please ensure that you do not stretch racking tape whilst using it.
Otherwise good show.

Sunday: Sherlock Holmes (Late)
QProj = Niks, Trainee: Fergus
R2 and R4 both started two sprockets out of rack, corrected straight away. Stability got worse on both projectors towards the end of the film, probably due to increasing edge damage on the reels.

Important Issues from show reports:
When recovering from a missed change over the sound should be muted so that the audience does not have a disruptive ‘blip’. However as encountered in Law Abiding Citizen the SDDS unit is not muted by the CP500 remote controls. Mute on the CP500 remotes has no control over the mute function of the SDDS unit. By rewiring the SDDS from the original circuit diagrams this may be achieved however it would not be an effective use of resources. The alternative method proposed was to switch to CD on the CP500 instead of muting the missed change over. The CD defaults to a volume of 0.1dB which is suitably low for it not to be heard by the audience.

Training sessions:
Daniel requires a First Additional
Omar and Tim K. require Second Additionals
Robert offered to do a session Thursday Night instead of a show. This is because L3 is unavailable for any session during the day. Trainees offered the slot by email, session awarded on a first come first served basis.

Any Other Business
Private screening of Citizen Kane is not possible because of inter-cinema transfer
Snaps.txt, a document that lists the contents of a snaps test will be put on the Wiki to ensure snaps test continuity because we all have access to it.
The L3 refurbishment was discussed at length during the Tech Meeting, there will be a meeting with the University representative on 23rd March.
