Projectionists Meeting @ 2011-02-28 18:00:00
Monday 28/2/11 18:00 SSL (Week 8)

1. Show Reports (including AllNighter show reports) were discussed.
2. Technical Officer’s Report (Absent)
a. Remember when cleaning back plate and gate to spray foam cleaner on paper towel first and never directly onto the metal.
b. Motor filters (on left of projectors) must be unscrewed and cleaned using compressor after every show. (Do not remove filter whilst motor is running!)
3. Training
a. Rachel will be in Proj box on Wednesday from 5-7 so can take mass platter session for Neil, Tristan and Yeng if they wish to come along.
b. Fergus may be able to do part of an AT2 on Wednesday.
c. Tim G will send an email to QProj to see if anyone is able to take a AT2 on Sunday.
4. AOB’s:
a. 70 mm film should be arriving on Thursday.
b. Owen, Nikita, and Tim G said they would be free to start conversion at 8 or later on Saturday night. Majority of Film preferably needs to be made-up before Saturday because we won’t have access to L3 on Saturday except between 1-2.
c. Which LOTR Trailers or mix therein to be played next term before AllNighter sparked a debate. Matt Breeze has stated that he will be happy to do all the LOTR related trailer changes.
d. Nothing yet has been heard about speaker part.
e. Possibly relabel C/O boxes?
f. Plans on how to fix P3 button our well under-way.
g. When putting speakers away – be V. careful with speaker which is placed under the pipe as the pipe is Asbestos!! Do not knock the pipe with speaker as it scratches the paint on the speaker and may well release asbestos into the atmosphere which you will inhale.
h. Possibly show a cool lord of the rings animation during LOTR AllNighter.
i. It has been noticed that one of the speaker cables has slightly come out of the plastic connector on the end.
j. If data projector comes on during Ads + Trailers click b on keyboard to blackout the projector before attempting to turn off the projector.
k. If slide button is not working then something is wrong with data projector connections – do not just turn it back on, find somebody who can fix it.
5. Sign-ups
a. Omar A and Owen may be able to help project The Thing 70mm.
b. Fergus signed-up to QProj The Chronicles of Narnia 3 on Sunday Late.
c. Matt Breeze may be able to QProj Pan’s Labyrinth.
d. Omar A signed-up to QProj Monsters on Friday Early next week.
