N.B. Still light outside when meeting started!
1. Week 8 Show Reports were discussed
2. Technical Officer’s Report
a. Waiting for emails from Jack Roe and Sound Associates for service
and speaker part invoices.
b. If you would like to see the report from our service please ask
the Technical Officer.
c. Andrew inquired about digital projector from Future Projections -
£62K for 2K system with 3D (active – including 100 glasses –
approx. £30 each to buy extra) and all the bells and whistles.
£58k for projector with no 3D.
3. Training
a. L3 is booked until 9pm this Saturday.
b. Wednesday English people have booked 5-7, AV services until 4.
c. Owen is free on Sunday 3-5.
d. Fergus will be at filmsoc all day Wednesday.
e. Neil, Tristan and Kath need AT2’s.
f. Yeng needs trailer challenge.
g. Yolanda and Robert need AT1’s
4. Projection Procedure Changes
a. Racking knobs should be reset before and after shows (if you have
had to adjust it during the show). Try not to reset them too much
during shows.
b. If a reel is OOR during a show, it is worth checking in case it's
a making up error.
5. AOB’s
a. Clarification - 1 frame (35mm) = 4 sprockets!
b. Ads emails should go straight to dump – do not just cc to Films
Officer.
c. Refer recommendation to exec to give Films Officer proj keys.
d. Douser on P2 not in position correctly – perhaps fix?
e. Need to make a nice – non trailer platter header and footer. (Not
out of Mylar – it is expensive!)
f. Next term we will have trailers on platter.
g. Election in L3 will take place at 7:30 – after this meeting.
6. Rota Sign-ups
a. Rob G signed up to project Eternal Sunshine Tuesday 8/3/11 7:30.
b. Fergus C signed up to project Due Date 9/3/11 7:30.
