1 Welcome and Apologies for Absence

2 Rotas
The rotas for the next few weeks were passed around.


3 Technical Officer's Report
Tech Week

This saw new apertures plates being cut: we now only have one aperture plate set for each projector.

Masking setting have been adjusted and relabelled - please check the labels before using them.

The items under the floor and the trailer archive have been moved around and maps are in the process of being created so that these can be more successfully navigated.


4 Training
Enrik N will be having his ATS1 and ATS2 this Wednesday.


5 Projection Procedure Changes
We now have digital trailers and will soon (starting this Friday) be having digital ads.

The new start-up playlist on the Doremi server is labelled start_up_2012. This contains: the slides, KPMG video, WSC Spring term trailer, "Enjoy the Show" logo, *35mm ads are then played here*, "Coming Soon" logo, the trailers and the "Feature Presentation" logo.

From now on a trailer change consists of adding the next digital trailer to the start-up playlist (start_up_2012), removing the old trailer from the playlist (and deleting it from the server) and then reordering the trailers, if necessary, so that they are in the order in which we will be showing the fi lms.

Please then save this updated playlist (password for
projection level is 'password'), whilst not changing the name of the playlist (you will be asked if you would like to overwirte the previous version - please do this.).

The start-up sheet should then be updated with the new trailer information (e.g. playlength of the trailers, order, title).

This should be done at every show that requires a trailer change.

Digital shows have their own playlist in which it is the job of the projectionist to ensure that the correct trailers are present. After a digital showing, if a trailer change is required, this should be done to the start_up_2012 playlist.

If any problems are experienced with trailer changes e.g. password is not working, not sure what to do etc. please contact the Chief Projectionist immediately.

Rob G asked if this could be placed in a wiki article: this will be done.


6 Time and Date of Next Meeting
The next projection meeting will be on 16th Jan; normal time and place.


7 AOB
Alex asked about the current digital start-up logos and whether we are happy to use alternatives. Fergus was very much of the opinion that the ones that he had created (those that we are currently using) are only a temporary x and can be replaced when other better ones are created. Tim G was of the opinion that in the future if we have multiple acceptable logos for each then the proj on the night can choose which to play.

Tim G mentioned that WSC is attending the refreshers fair, and that anyone that wants to turn up to help is more than welcome.
