2. Technical Officer's Report

Rob M said he has adjusted the lamp brightness on P1 so it is the same as the brightness for P2. He is currently experimenting with razor blades on aperture plates. The outdoor screening preparation is almost done, just a phone call left for invoice. Rob M said that a tech session will be happening sometime after the temporary air conditioning is here.

3. Training

Georgie R will be having her snaps test on Saturday.

4. Projection Procedure Changes

Discussions relating to proj box cooling procedures continued this week.
Once the temperature in the proj box has reached 33°C, the lamp is to be switched off (via the touch screen panel on the projector head) with NO EXCEPTIONS.

Further ways of temperature maintenance were discussed for double showings of digital films. Both P1/2 lamps should be off and both proj box doors (emergency exit and corridor) along with the plant room door (and gnome door in the plant room) can be opened to have better air circulation.
In the event that when it comes to starting the second showing of the digital film (or any film for that matter) and the proj box is at 30°C, P3 is NOT to be used. For a 35mm screening, a replacement ads and trailers playlist may get made to play on the data projector if 30°C is reached. For a digital screening, the film will simply be cancelled (the chief DM will be informed of this new procedure too).

5. Time and Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting will be on Monday 21th May at 18:10 in the SSL.

6. AOB
