3. Publicity drive to attract new stewards
Almost no interest was shown in FoH at the open day, and so it was agreed that the time has come to promote free films for stewarding. This can be done in emails, on the backs of flyers, with slides and, of course, with signs. It was decided that the essential information for such a sign would be the word "free" and to talk to the Duty Manager for details. Minimalist thinking led those present to believe that the sign could take the form:

This prompted the following gem from Martin: "Who's DM? Why is he in prison?"
4. AOB
(i) Five minutes prior to the meeting, it was found that One World Week had taken over Union South. For future meetings, it was suggested that the Chief DM should check the availability of the venue in advance.
(ii) Either the outgoing Chief DM or the Chief DM elect will buy drinks at the next meeting.
(iii) Xanana's have no cake.
(iv) This meeting is not a meeting.
(v) There are WFF flyers to hand out at shows.
