DM Meeting @ 2007-02-20 18:00:00
DM Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, 20 February 2007
6:00 pm, Rococo
1. Welcome and apologies
DMs present: James McLachlan, Rachel Crofts, James Emmott, Robert Gardner, Mike Joy, George Marshall, Pierre Schramm
Trainee DMs present: Helen Coe, Eleanor Hutchinson
Non-DM present: Martin Mee
Apologies: Michelle Foy, Max Leung, Nick March
2. Rotas
When Tuesday, Week 8 reappears on the schedule, James M. and Helen will be signed up to DM the show.
3. AllNighter stall
- George, James Cotton and Nick will set up the stall, complete with a board from Hospitality.
- There should be no problems covering the stall throughout the day.
A (presumably) bored George produced his staplegun from his pocket and caressed it for a few seconds.
4. AllNighter event
There will be enough FoH staff from start to finish.
5. Qualification
If Helen is to qualify this term, then the only suitable show for her would be The Devil Wears Prada (6:30 pm), by which time she will have have DMed ten shows and an AllNighter. It was established that there would be enough DMs available for this provisional qualification show.
6. AOB
(i) If An Inconvenient Truth sells out and there are at least fifty or so people still queueing, it was agreed that we could invite these people to a showing later in the evening because there would be enough staff (FoH and projection) willing to help. For the second showing to start as early as possible, the tickets would be sold during the first show under the supervision of a DM. The prospect of a second showing will be announced to the queue if it is sufficiently busy.
(ii) NatWest require a form entitled "Night Safe Facilities" to be completed by those at WSC who use the night safe. However, having read the smallprint, Rachel deduced that only the Chief DM had to complete the form.
[Post-meeting: Rachel was correct and, apparently, the last time NatWest asked for this form to be completed was in 1997.]
(iii) Rachel is concerned about Robert and his sending text messages at 4:08 am. George, on the other hand, is not at all concerned; he once slept on the floor rather than in bed because he knew that he wouldn't have been woken by his alarm had he been in bed.
(iv) Robert reminds everyone to make sure that there are AOB points every week.
