1. Welcome and Apologies

2. Technical Officer’s Report
-‘Everything’s fine’
-Thomas P requested the doors to the projectors be reattached ASAP
3. Projection Procedure Changes/Discussion
-Everyone needs to ensure that the film tracker gets updated
-Tim G suggested a change to the film tracking system based on the
fact that digital films come need two parts to work (Hard drive and KDM). Potentially achievable through IT wizardry?
-Several people noted that the ads and trailers have been quite loud recently. Keep an eye (ear?) on them.
4. Trainees
-Freya needs a training session on ingesting, to be held provisionally on Wednesday by Charlie. She will then do a mock show on Friday before a qualification show on Saturday’s early showing
- Thomas P needs an ATS2 and a Snaps Test, trailer challenge stuff needs to be made ready if it isn’t already
-Alex R needs a snaps test
-Booklets need to be printed for Jonatan and Ria
5. 35mm Training
There was discussion of training currently digitally qualified projectionists on 35mm. It was agreed that priority should be given to Charlie due to his position as chief proj and those who were the furthest from graduating, although anyone who wants it should have the opportunity to learn. The first step would seem to be getting ITSs for those interested. Concerns were raised about the lack of 35mm films in the Summer schedule and the reduced number of 35mm qualified people in the next academic year. Therefore training should begin ASAP.
6. Bradford Trip
Andy M proposed that there should be no social on the trip to exchange Alien for Die Hard but instead anyone who wants to should go down on a weekend for a better experience when we return Die Hard.
7. Sponsored Event
There will be a sponsored event on Tuesday and it’s all hands on deck to help distribute booze and pizza. If anyone can help that’d be splendid.
8. Time and Date of Next Meeting
Monday Week 7 , Rootes Bar at 18:10
9. AOB
-It would be beneficial for Oliver and Jess to get a bit of an introduction to projecting, especially ingesting films/using KDMs.
-The role of digital trailers co-ordinator needs to be discussed further.
