DM meeting minutes:
20/01/2015 (Tuesday, Week 3, Term 2), 6.10pm
Meeting started at: 6.15pm
1. Welcome and apologies:
Present: Rachel, Jorja, Oli, James, Richard, Giles, Faheem, Mike, Anjana and Angela
Apologies: Mike, Lorraine, Jordan and Jess
2. Rotas:
Rotas are fine for the next week. We need a couple more stewards for Saturday’s showing of Interstellar and Sunday’s showing of Say When. Rachel will send an email round.
3. New laptops / tills:
Joel sent me a possible laptop/till. He is going to check with Alex and Andy that it is okay. If we bought them we would keep them in the DM locker. Ask if we are allowed 3 laptops within our budget. Richard asked if we can have an SSD (makes it work faster) and I3 (don’t need I5). Oli says we can get them cheaper, (4GB memory still needed though). Go back to Joel and ask to look for something else (£300 and £400 and compare them all). Everyone is still in support of getting new laptops.
4. AOBs:
1. James proposes that we be prepared to sell tickets in advance at the early screening of Interstellar for the two other screenings if the early sells out. Colour code the two different screenings to differentiate the two (either with marker or different till roll). Rachel will send an email round DMs to see who is available to help at Friday’s show. Make clear that tickets are not refundable (standard Union Policy).
2. James mentioned that a new steward figured out how to sell a 5 films pass despite still being a trainee. Potential TDM: Amena. Keep an eye on her progress.
