DM Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, 8 May 2007

1. Welcome and apologies
DMs present: James McLachlan, Rachel Crofts, Robert Gardner, Mike Joy, George Marshall, Pierre Schramm

2. Rotas
The showing of Apocalypto requires stewards.
Rachel looks over the rotas. A long pause ensues.
3. Qualifications
Helen's qualification is on Sunday (Rocky Balboa).
Matt's qualification is scheduled for the early showing of Hot Fuzz on Friday, Week 5. Robert, George, Mike, Pierre and James can attend.
The possibility of holding two qualifications in one night is discussed, should Eleanor be ready to qualify by Friday, Week 5. No conclusion is reached, but the arguments against are that most of the DMs want to watch Hot Fuzz, and that the film is two hours long.
4. Signs
James has made a sign for the door that includes "no popcorn". However, the typeface used for this sign clashes with that of the "wait here" sign. Consequently, James will produce a new "wait here" sign.
5. AOB
(i) The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Week 4.
(ii) Nick bemoans the absence of new slides and suggests a collaboration between the Chief Duty Manager and the Publicity Officer to produce some Front of House-specific slides.
(iii) If we have small posters for a film, then they should be made available for Front of House to distribute at the appropriate shows.
