Minutes of the Warwick Student Cinema (WSC/Filmsoc) Executive Committee meeting held on Monday 11th January (Term 2, Week 1).

Rootes Learning Grid Meeting Room 1
1. Welcome & Apologies
Present: Lorraine (President; chair), Phil (Chief Projectionist), Jonatan (Films Officer; minutes), Lauren (Chief Editor), Richard (Marketing Officer), Joe (Social and Events Secretary), Anjana (Chief Duty Manager).
In Attendance: Jess Carrol
Apologies: Reece (Vice President), Giles (Treasurer), Emma (Publicity Officer), Joel (IT Officer)
2. Meet the Exec and AGM/Elections
Lorraine suggested the following time for the next ‘Meet the Exec’: Wednesday week 3 at 4pm in L5, which everyone agreed to. All executive members expected to prepare speeches. Lorraine said she will prepare a powerpoint. Lorraine also suggested to have the next executive elections on Wednesday week 5 at 6pm in L3, to which everyone agreed. It was agreed to have free tickets to members who come to vote (since only one person claimed it last election). It was decided that team leaders should tell their teams to come/a crew e-mail get sent out.
3. Pyjama Party Allnighter
The running order was decided upon, as follows: Clueless, Bridget Jones's, (quiz), Labyrinth, (answers), Mystery, Mean Girls, Dirty Dancing. Joe will write a quiz; prizes will be bought at some point organised by Lorraine. There was talk of a publicity run on Saturday end of week 2, to be discussed by Emma. A crew e-mail will be sent regarding allnighter and crew tickets. Prices for tickets were agreed in emails.
4. Movie Pub Quiz
Joe will write the quiz; Lorraine will organise buying prizes.
5. Socials
Andy M has suggested a trip to London to watch Hateful 70mm Sunday end of week 2. Joe suggested a trip to the cinema to see Deadpool on Valentine’s day. There will be a Filmsoc goes to POP social on week 3
6. TADONM
Wednesday week 3 before meet the exec, to be confirmed.
7. AOB
Jonatan will have a programming meeting week 4, more details to be confirmed.
Lauren said there are some reviews missing, her and Emma will be chasing people
Additional publicity runs were suggested last term, making the week 2 one a joint allnighter/general run, Lorraine will email some SU locations to have some publicity there, suggestions have been made to investigate street team keys, and leaving publicity in departmental pigeon holes.
