Also Present: Lorraine Li

1. Welcome and Apologies
Apologies were received from Joel Speed (IT Officer), Reece Goodall (Publicity Officer) and Alex Pointon (Technical Officer).

2. Big Screening
We have confirmation from Warwick Conferences for both the Big Screen and the film. The piazza has been booked and the event planning pack has been approved by the SU. A publicity run may take place closer to the time to advertise the event. Other ideas were discussed for publicising the event further. Phil will have a trailer ready by Wednesday Week 4.

Ideas for making the event itself more special/theming: animal shaped balloons, gingerbread men, magic mirror stand, a giant Farquaad head and Anjana is speaking to Glee about a live performance of I’m a believer. Reece will look into designing the polos/shirts for crew. Shrek ears for crew/exec was also suggested.

3. Publicity Officer
There are a few people considered for the role. There may be an election held for this role in Week 9.

4. Pricing
Left to be discussed when more exec members of the exec are present. This needs to be discussed and voted on before the next academic year, so that any change decided upon can be implemented.

5. Sponsorship
We don’t have a sponsorship pack yet. Jonatan is looking into this, Alex P may be able to help.

6. TADONM
This will be decided on an exec email thread.

8. AOB
i) Phil was unanimously ratified as a 35mm projectionist.
ii) Joe Mortimore was unanimously ratified as a digital projectionist.
iii) Joel would like to invest £300 on a battery – this was unanimously approved by the exec.
iv) There may be a programming meeting Wednesday Week 3.
v) Projectionist discussed who to take on as 35mm trainees.
vi) Jonatan asked for socials – Phil may have a plan.
vii) Hannah would like to make a video to encourage people to get involved. Richard was also considering doing something like this. We need to document our events a bit better. The SU has GoPro’s that societies can borrow – perhaps we could use this to film more footage, or speak to crew members who have shown interest.
