Minutes of the Warwick Student Cinema (WSC) Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday 9th November (Term 1 Week 6)

Present: Chris Greenland (President; chair), Anjana Radhakrishnan (Vice-President; minutes), Matthew Williams (Chief Duty Manager), Jacek Kopanski (Films Officer), Joel Speed (IT Officer), Alex Pointon (Technical Officer), Hannah Freeman (Marketing Officer), Alex Holmes (Treasurer) and Mike Le Guillou (Socials and Events Coordinator elect).
1. Welcome and Apologies
Apologies were received from Lakshmi Ajay (Chief Projectionist), Richard Kirk (Publicity Officer) and Dom Lam (Chief Editor).
2. All Nighter
A publicity run will be held this Saturday at 1pm, meeting in L3 to help promote the All Nighter.
Those present in the meeting decided against a pizza subsidisation for crew because of poor ticket sales so far. Mike will be creating a quiz for the night, and £50 was allocated to spend on prizes. A charity needs to be decided on. Alex H will send Chris the approved list of charities so we can then vote on one. Mike has booked Varsity for the evening for a meal ahead of the All Nighter and Xananas and the following morning for breakfast.
3. Society Collaborations
In week 7 we have the re-scheduling of Hotel Rwanda, which Warwick Women for Women International are funding. Tickets will be £3. Also in week 7, we have a screening of Pride on Sunday night, which will be free for everyone. The Blu-ray needs to be acquired for this. Joel has made tickets for both screenings.
There are quite a few collaborations in the process of being organised for next term.
4. TADONM
This will be decided on an exec email thread.
5. AOB
i) Mike Le Guillou was unanimously ratified as a Duty Manager and the Events and Socials Coordinator.
ii) Please look into sponsorship and try to contact people/companies.
iii) We should be able to get 5-7 35mm films for next term.
iv) Lots of socials have been planned. Xananas is booked for tonight from 6.30pm. Pop for week 8, Christmas Market for week 9 and Christmas meal for Wednesday for week 10. If you have any ideas for socials or recommendations, please contact Mike.
v) Mike will be creating a quiz for term 2 pub quiz. Anjana has emailed someone from the Duck to book it for the quiz (to be confirmed).
