DM Meeting Wednesday 8th March 2017
Meeting commenced 16:10
1. Welcome and apologies
Present: Caleb, Justin, Chris, Richard, Anjana, Casper, Jess (late)
Apologies: Iain, Alex, Giles, Matt*
*Matt informed the CDM he would be unable to attend, but did not explicitly apologise for his intended absenteeism
CDM welcomed those present and distributed custard creams to those who attended the last meeting.
2. Rotas:
Week 9:
Q-DM:
• Saturday 11th March 9:30pm “Passengers”- Anjana
T-DM:
• Friday 10th March 9:30pm “Assassin’s Creed”- CDM to email trainees
Stewards:
• Friday 10th March 9:30pm “Assassin’s Creed”- Justin can be there at beginning & Jess can potentially make it
Week 10:
Q-DM:
• Sunday 12th March “The Color Purple”- Casper
• Tuesday 14th March “Jack Reacher-Never Go Back”- Richard
T-DM:
• Tuesday 14th March “Jack Reacher-Never Go Back”- CDM to email trainees
3. AOBs:
• The trial of the popcorn sign at the tills has shown it to be ineffective, so it will be removed from the till cupboards
• A new printer may be purchased following recent issues
• “Jack Reacher” will need to be reset. CDM will email IT about this
• Stewards should be made aware part of their role is informing projection if the sound or picture should disappear during a screening; at Forest Gump the stewards were not responsive to a loss of sound
• Social; Easter egg hunt at 5pm
• Richard shared his view that bar fusion is apparently unable to serve chips in a timely manner
• Andy has suggested that raffle tickets be used when confiscating/handing back popcorn. This will be given a trial run
• CDM will ensure IT create the relevant free screening tickets. In line with this CDM will email IT about The Color Purple, to be shown this Sunday
