Show Reports
============

Paterson – Thursday; Qualification; T-Proj: Josh
• Josh qualified!
• Matt unkindly says he expects he "only just" qualified. The other projectionists express heartfelt congratulations.

Assassin's Creed – Friday; Q-Proj: Adam, Jonatan; T-Proj: Irene, Matt
• Irene says the early was fine with the exception of missing the lights for the long credits. Matt says the late was fine also.

Passengers – Saturday; Q-Proj: Adam, Kieran; T-Proj: Benji
• Benji says the early was fine except for ads+trailers starting early without them having pressed P3. Perhaps a DM hit play on VNC? The was also a "rogue pig" in front of Christina's lens.
• The late was completely uneventful (in a good way!).

The Color Purple – Sunday; Q-Proj: Kieran; T-Proj:
• Largely no issues once the HDMI matrix was working.
• The AP20 Mixer @ 3.0 macro doesn't work correctly and needs fixing.

The Edge of Seventeen – Monday; Q-Proj: Richard; T-Proj: Irene
• Was fine.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back – Tuesday; Q-Proj: Lakshmi; T-Proj: Hazel
• Richard watched the last half and has no concerns.

Tech Officer's Report
=====================

N/A

Proj Procedure Changes
======================

• HDMI MATRIX: use it and don't press the buttons on the monitor (see email).
• New power path: Phil has no thoughts, Richard can't think of improvements. The duplicated 'proj power' switch on the diagram needs fixing, though Kieran points out it is only a draft. This will be brought additionally to the next proj meeting.
• Richard asks for revised labels in fuse box. Phil and Kieran question whether this is necessary save for the redundant 'data projector' switch.
• Phil asks for more tape, especially thick.
• Benji requests medium tape; it is noted that this is not something we habitually stock and uncertainty is expressed as to whether it exists.
• Phil wants metallic lighting cue stickers. It is again noted that this is unlikely to happen as we do not have a corresponding automated lighting system.

AOB
=====
• Matt asks about potentially showing Trainspotting in 35mm. Phil says he could do it put acknowledges he probably shouldn't. Andy will be asked if he could (very kindly) supervise, though we need to know about the status of the SR-D LEDs.
• Some films are still in the proj box. Forrest Gump needs replacement DTS discs burning before it can be returned; Andy has the images.
• Richard requests that next term's A2s are rolled once we get them.
• Phil shares his "shower thought" that taking on a block of trainees at once will foster a "rootin' tootin' family feel" amongst them. Phil's choice of words is questioned by the others present. Laughter ensues.
• Richard raises that point that we should be looking for a new projector and says that the tech officer should get on this.
• There is chat about hypothetical novelty 3D screenings.
