DM Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, 19 June 2007

1. Welcome and apologies

2. Qualification
Congratulations to Eleanor, who qualified at The Illusionist.
3. Rotas

Pierre purchased an Ice Age T-shirt during a lull in the meeting.
4. Best Picture Trilogy
It was established that there will be enough FoH staff to cover both nights comfortably. An announcement should be made after the trailers to inform the audience of the intervals between films and to instruct them to retain their tickets.
5. Outdoor Screening
The Front of House requirements during the day will mainly include keeping people off Tocil Field. Everything will hopefully be set up by 7 o'clock so that FoH staff and projectionists can have a break for an hour or two. During the event, FoH staff will be positioned around the taped off areas as densely as possible.
If the weather forces the screening to move to L3, then FoH will run as usual, except with raffle tickets to count the numbers. It was agreed that it is unlikely that more than 300 people would want to watch the film in L3.
A brief quantum theory discussion took place.
6. AOB
(i) The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 2 October 2007. Time and venue to be announced.
(ii) If a WSC open session is held at the start of next term, then Front of House should be incorporated.
(iii) DMs who will not be here next year must return their keys to Union North by the end of term.
