3. Notices

• Societies Federation can now be sold through POS as normal.
• Getting involved meeting on Wednesday at 1pm — come along if you can, the more friendly faces the better, and help to have DMs there to talk to people in the queue to sign up.
• Movie Pub Quiz on Saturday at 9.30pm in The Dirty Duck— do come along.
• More lectures than usual in the hour slot before our booking on weekdays: L3 is booked 6-7pm every Tuesday and most Thursdays, and 5-6pm every Friday throughout Term 1. Situation should improve slightly in Term 2.
• Until the Harry Potter Marathon, term trailer and HPM trailer will always be on the playlist, but they are both very short. As such, if you ask for the last two trailers, the projectionist won’t include them, but know that they’re at the end.
• Loyalty card T&C changes now approved by the exec and on the website. Main changes:
- No longer expire at the end of the academic year, so please ask stewards to accept loyalty cards from 17/18 and before.
- One stamp per ticket rather than person — if someone pays for their friend, they can get two stamps.
- The condition that “WSC loyalty cards are non-transferrable and WSC reserve the right to check an individual's ticket history to verify that cards are not being used fraudulently” has been removed. Instead, we’re now more relaxed about people sharing loyalty cards, and we don’t want to put people off by interrogating them about their ticket history. T&Cs don’t explicitly say that loyalty cards are transferrable, and there is still a condition that “WSC reserves the right to refuse to transfer collected stamps between loyalty cards”, but use your judgement if exercising this right. Try to avoid coming across as unreasonable to customers or putting them off coming again, and lean towards being on the generous side.
- Externals can use loyalty cards — previous T&Cs limited them to holders of a Warwick University card.
- Otherwise no real changes.

4. Harry Potter Marathon

• Caleb, Taylor, Chris, Casper, Matt, Jamie planning to be there for all the night. Anjana and Justin might be able to help earlier in the day. DM slots to be allocated later.
• Any crew wanting to come as an audience member (or staff who have a guest) should let the CDM or the President know to arrange crew/crew guest tickets.
• Ideally setting up from roughly 12/12.30 — this will be confirmed. Help from all DMs (even those working later in the evening) would be appreciated during setting up and ticket selling. Please wear DM polos.
• L4 has been booked for crew overnight.
• The idea of arranging a communal pizza order for audience members was discussed.
• Feedback from last AllNighter will be reviewed to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible. CDM will ensure box is ticked for collection as POS didn’t work last time

5. AOBs

i. The new cordless sweeper has received very positive feedback, with the former CDM (2017-18) in particular giving a glowing report. It is much better than the hoover for spot cleaning, but doing every aisle isn’t necessary. Apparently has a roughly 45m battery life, so should be kept plugged in.
ii. The possibility of making new signs was discussed. Richard indicated his willingness to help design them. It was suggested that the ‘Please wait here’ sign might be unnecessary and more hassle than it’s worth.
iii. The possibility of having lanyards for steward was discussed again. Ideally, a customised design would be used (with WSC logo etc.), but plain with paper in the WSC holder would also work.
iv. It was asked that A2s be rolled.
v. Stewards should be reminded not to give old loyalty cards back once they have been redeemed, and that loyalty cards don’t select themselves automatically.
vi. The issue with the fire exit door not being locked has been sorted by Estates. The broken table has been reported, while the door handle has yet to be fixed.
