3. Notices

• It was believed that some new stewards forgetting to unselect the default ticket when selling loyalty card tickets might be responsible for some till differences recently, so watch out for this.
• When granting a trainee steward crew status, if their temporary crew status has already expired (i.e. it has a finish date), just pressing ‘Renew’ won’t give them full crew status, instead just another two weeks (and will mean they won’t get crew tickets). As such, you’ll have to go back and grant full crew status after renewing.
• There is now a collaborations board in the office on the Treasurer’s Cupboard with information about upcoming collaborations. The CDM will inform DMs in advance if there’s a collaboration, but this is a useful way of checking now that there aren’t society-specific collaboration tickets any more. It was requested that the writing on the board be made more legible.
• More loyalty cards have arrived, and we never ran out, so no one should have a stamp on the back of their ticket.

4. Harry Potter Marathon Feedback

• Collection through POS didn’t work again, despite the box being ticked on the SU’s end. In future, the ability to collect should be checked well in advance.
• The big stamp wasn’t working very well. Getting a new big stamp might be worthwhile.
• Stamps and tickets weren’t checked going in and out of L3 after the first film.
• Better use of stewards on the night was suggested.
• The CDM will look into how best to distribute the commemorative filmstrips.

5. AOBs

i. Guess the Attendance closes at 7.30pm
ii. There will be a social to Kenilworth Fireworks, Saturday at 5pm. We’ll be walking, so bring suitable footwear. Tickets need to be purchased in advance, and can be bought from either SUHQ or online. See the Facebook event in the crew group for more information.
iii. There will be a Screen Unseen social on Monday. See the FB event in the crew group for more information.
iv. It was discussed whether it would be better to hold future meetings in a room or in Bar Fusion. A room would be quieter but there’s no chance of getting a meal. Having the meeting held in a different room each week would be confusing. It was agreed that it would be preferable if it’s the same room each week, but otherwise not.
v. Caleb inquired about the difference between shortcake and shortbread.
vi. If someone complains about the vending machine breaking and swallowing their money, please send them to the library.
vii. Bessie (the cordless sweeper) has lots of hair on her. It was asked how to remove this hair and how to prevent her from accumulating hair in future.
viii. Keep an eye out for crew/crew guest latecomers, as they need tickets too. The CDM will ask the VP to put a reminder in the next Crew Update.
