DM Meeting @ 2023-05-01 17:00:00

Monday 1st May 2023
FAB 1.08
Meeting Commenced: 17:05

1. Welcome and Apologies
Present: Sophie, Daniel, Kieran, Joe, Max, Travis, Eric
Apologies: Sueda, Dillan, Anna

CDM welcomed everyone and distributed high quality snacks.

2. Rotas
Rotas are elite, all are full, only issue is that the Pearl and Scream 6 lates are both low on stewards but this should not be a problem.

3. Notices
Darcie has chosen to stop being a TDM, she has been offered a space if she ever wants to come back, she will fortunately carry on as a steward.

4. Crew status:
Discussed when to de-crew stewards and DMs so we can bring this to the executive.

Decisions made:

For trainee stewards: Trainee stewards will be qualified after three shows as normal, however, DM has the discretion to delay this after third show if they have not completed these shows in a short enough timeframe and, therefore, are not confident. Otherwise DMs should give detailed reports of mistakes made in the comments.

On revoking crew status from stewards:
The following only apply during term one and two:

The CDM will review all stewards twice per term, once in the middle of the term and once at the end. A steward must do a minimum of 5 shows per term, if this is not met by the end of the term review the CDM will consider having crew status revoked. It does not matter when a steward does these shows, as long as they do the minimum of 5 per term.

If a steward has their crew status revoked they will maintain their steward status, but will be required to complete the minimum amount of shows per term to have their crew status reinstated. This includes making up for the number of steward shows missed. Their crew status can be reinstated by the CDM at either of the two termly reviews.

The mid-termly review can only reinstate crew status, the end of term review can both reinstate and revoke crew status.
_________________________________________
In term 3, the CDM has discretion to revoke or reinstate crew status during term 3 based on individual circumstances.

____________________________________________

Crew and DM status:

QDMs and TDMs are required to complete at least 5 Front of House shows per term, these will be reviewed during the CDM's two termly review.

In order for a QDM to maintain QDM status they must complete at least one show every 5 weeks during term time. They must complete at least one MDM show if they fail to reach this, potentially more at the discretion of the Committee.

TDM status may be revoked by the Committee if the TDM fails to do any shows, this will be reviewed during the two termly review.

A discussion on if a QDM's DM status should be revoked will be discussed by the Committee if a QDM fails to do any shows in a term.
________________________________________

The above were voted upon by the QDMs present, all of which voted in favour, which allowed for a sufficient majority in absence of other QDMs. However, all other QDMs will be consulted at future DM meetings on these agreements.

All above rules and agreements are subject to change and approval by the Executive team at the next executive meeting.

5. AOBs:

No AOBs

6. Trainee Discussion:

There was no trainee discussion as there was no requirement due to a lack of TDM shows.

Meeting concluded: 18:05
