3. Tech Officer's Report
- The films have been cleared from the dump. We can continue to use the dump for all of our dumping needs.
- Lift still broken. It is _not_ being fixed but instead being replaced.

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On – 25/04/2023

Film was very much not in wide, as it was in 1:78 for all of 40 seconds for the Universal logo, then in 1:55 thereafter. Slight panic that DCI_XWIDE macro apparently failed to run, but tested at the end without issues. We received complaints that the film was too loud, apparently?

- Eric: We have trailers for every film!
- Eric (on behalf of Zain): Please return 35mm prints ASAP, or at least by the end of the week that they are played in, because distributors get annoyed. Do we have any prints left over from last term? If so, please could we return them?
- Zuzanna: Wings of Desire still on 6000s and needs to be broken up, but deadlines, so can only break up on Monday. Call for help, but no one is able to help :(
- Eric: Is breaking up something a non-35mm can help with? No. Kieran and Liv will check for anything else that needs returning.
- Kieran: Checking for semi-unplugged AES cables in the sound path is not a thing. Don't teach this, and stomp trainees if they bring it up.
- James: Nay-OB.
- Eric: Forgets to introduce new trainees; introduces Will and Sam.
- Ethan: Ethan has some technical things including a CP650 remote and 70mm mylar film. Does FilmSoc want them? Ethan directed to tech officer.
- Liv: What is the role of a Q-proj when they sign up with an N-proj? Can be there for reassurance, if needed, or if N-projs want to have a practice run at training someone, they can use the Q-proj as a dummy. Main goal of the N-proj role is for newly qualified projectionists to get used to running a show alone.
- Daniel: Concerns about training people, not sure what to cover or where to start training people, especially with existing trainees. Would be nice to have a list or something of the sort to know what to cover.
- Kieran: There is a list on the forums, probably worth an update.
- Liv/Kieran: The hummus has a strange texture. Max samples the hummus with a breadstick, but realises that the breadstick is poisonous to him. James throws part of breadstick out of window. Max social distances from remainder of uneaten breadstick.
- Kieran: Phil (_the_ Do Not Phil, Phil!) was wondering, what is MOM?
