DM Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, 6 November 2007

1. Welcome and apologies

2. Rotas
Filled for Weeks 6 and 7.
3. AllNighter
Six DMs have signed up for the event itself.
Rachel and Robert would like to watch Trainspotting and Blades of Glory respectively.
Tickets are to be sold at shows on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The availability of DMs for Friday's stall was recorded. It is intended to set up the stall at 10 am.
The President needs to book the stall.
4. Qualification
Congratulations to Matt, who qualified at the Ocean's Thirteen early show.
5. Cameras
There were two instances of an audience member using a camera with flash last week. At Psycho, someone took a picture of the film and was ejected. At the Ocean's Thirteen late show, someone took a picture during the trailers and was asked to leave. She refused, and so the projectionists were asked to shut down. After arguing with the DM her friend prompted her to leave and encouraged the whole group of five to leave.
James will make a sign and ask Andrew to make a slide with the wording, "You are not permitted to use any camera or recording device in this cinema."
There was a quorate vote for the motion, "Use of a camera during the film will result in being asked to leave." The motion carried with five votes for and one abstention.
There was a quorate vote for the motion, "Use of a camera at any other time will result in either a stern warning and confiscation of the device or being asked to leave, at the discretion of the DM." The motion carried unanimously.
WSC crew must not use cameras when film is being projected. The audience must be informed if crew plan to take pictures in the theatre.
At the AllNighter, George will make an announcement informing the audience that they are permitted to take pictures during the intervals and not at any other time.
