DM Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, 4 December 2007
6.15 pm, Rococo
1. Welcome and apologies
Present: James McLachlan, Seb Averill, Helen Coe, Rachel Crofts, Robert Gardner, George Marshall, Martin Mee, Matt Pusey, Natalie Tyldesley
Apologies: Mike Joy, Pierre Schramm
Robert arrived early for the first time this term, which is poor form considering he is usually a two minute walk away.
James welcomed everyone to the final DM meeting of the calendar year, pending AOBs.
George said "Hi" for Pierre, and so M. Schramm had sent an apology and a greeting for the meeting through different channels.
2. EPOS system
Matt has created a carer ticket for DM override sale only.
3. Card tickets
James' aim is for a decision to be reached by the end of next term on whether to implement card tickets.
Initial ideas for card tickets: coloured card; pre-printed on the back with terms and conditions; bought in bulk.
Robert suggested alternating the content of the reverse of the ticket to include, for instance, 'getting involved' promotions.
George suggested we have prize-winning golden tickets among the regular tickets.
There were accusations that the old new Chief DM was attempting to pass things off to the new new Chief DM. There was consensus that the old Chief DM would have reached a decision by now.
4. Refreshers' Fair
This takes place next term on Friday, Week 1.
Helen, Rachel, Robert and Seb said they might be available to help on the stall.
5. Date and time of next meeting
This was decided as Thursday, 10 January 2008 at 6.15 pm in Rococo.
Meetings next term will probably be held on Thursdays.
6. AOB
(i) Due to distribution problems, Good Bye Lenin! was nearly cancelled.
(ii) A fully operational, robotic armed Ribena machine is now installed outside L3. Stewarding on the door has never been so exciting.
(iii) The Chief DM did not wear a stripy shirt to the Christmas meal.
(iv) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
