Review:

We are very proud to welcome the Will Hay Appreciation Society to Warwick for a special one-off screening of Where’s That Fire?, 80 years after it was filmed.

The film was considered lost for many years until its rediscovery by the BBC and now the only existing 35mm print of it in the country has been very kindly loaned to us by the BFI National Archive. We are one the very few venues in the country fortunate enough to equipped with the twin-projector setup needed to screen archive prints and this film has never officially been released digitally or on home video, so this truly is a unique opportunity to see this influential early British comedy in its full glory without having to resort to bootleg VHS recordings.

All proceeds will go to to the Trussell Trust and to support their society’s fundraising for a memorial for Will Hay and his co-stars. Special pricing applies and tickets can be bought in advance at warwick.film/willhay.

You can find the Will Hay Appreciation Society, and more about Will Hay himself, at buggleskelly.co.uk.
